Komamoto Maki-e Workshop

Inheriting the techniques and spirit of Echizen lacquerware

In today's world, where we aim to reduce our environmental impact and realize a sustainable society, lacquerware culture, which involves using things carefully, pouring our feelings into them, and cultivating affection for them, is a Japanese culture that symbolizes the SDGs.

In addition to made-to-order production, repainting, and gold repair, the workshop is also working to train personnel and pass on techniques in order to pass on lacquer culture to the younger generation.
